Choosing a Contractor
We all like to save money and at some time you'll need a contractor, whether it be roofing, painting , landscaping plumbing, etc.
The most important consideration is to make sure the contractor is licensed and insured. If not, and a worker is injured on your property, you are liable.
The reputable contractor will know if a permit is required. This ensures the work will be per code and is for your protection.
So, think about the risk you're taking if you hire that guy with no ID and a low price. It's your home. Protect it and yourself.
Protect What's Yours
Theft is everywhere and Ventana is no exception. We have had items stolen from open garages and vehicles broken into. Some will say a thief will get in anyway. Why make it easy for them?
Closing your garage door when you're not outside and locking your car is just common sense.
Your house is pre-wired for an alarm system. Some don't want to pay to sign up with an alarm company. What is the price for your safety and security? And it doesn't do you any good if you don't arm it when you're out or when you go to bed. Once again, these simple hints are just common sense.
Two more simple hints: When it's time to change your clocks, change the batteries in your smoke detectors. Know and keep handy the Rockledge Police non-emergency number found on our home page.
Can't reach the high ones? Rockledge FD. will replace your batteries. Of course, you must supply the batteries.
